The artist has handed over the complete sum of his twenty-five thousand pound Mercury Prize cash to the MVT, which functions to protect the UK's grassroots live music spots.
He was presented with the cheque on October 16 as his third album People Watching was declared the outstanding release of the previous year.
He has chosen to give the cash to the trust, in appreciation of the vital role small stages fulfilled in his beginning days.
"I personally would not have achieved what I am doing today if it hadn't been for all the shows I did around the North East, and beyond, when I was starting out," remarked the artist. "These spaces are renowned, but they are facing challenges."
Since the start of 2023, over 150 of these venues have shut down – about one-sixth of the entire UK sector.
Over the past year, top acts like Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all aided the trust in its initiatives to keep the scene afloat, by applying a modest fee to their ticket costs, which benefits independent venues.
Sam Fender also joined in, collecting more than £100,000 on his recent tour to assist 38 local spots across Britain.
The donation assisted venues that were dealing with possible closure due to challenges arising from flooding, fire incidents and bereavements, as well as regulatory hurdles, legal disputes and noise complaints.
Additional spaces received monetary aid in upgrading facilities and gear that directly benefitted musicians and audiences.
"The notion that funds from concerts in major spaces backs the smaller venues, where it begins for artists like me, is just logical," Fender has commented.
Fender is among several artists to contribute his honor funds to good deeds.
In the band received the prize in the mid-90s for their album Different Class, frontman the singer announced that the act would give their winnings to the non-profit War Child.

"I also gave a £1,000 to the center, to their gymnastics program, because I trained in gymnastics when I was growing up and they required updated gear," Ms Dynamite explained to a publication.
In recent years, Ezra Collective donated their prize money to the youth organization that supported their act, alongside other independent music bodies.
Also winners that year M People contributed their winnings to a charity for MS after a friend was found to have the illness.
"Receiving the award was quite enough," remarked singer Small. "The money was the extra but we didn't require the bonus, because we had the main prize. So our victory touched the lives of others."
Last week, the MVT revealed it had saved several local spots in the South East, by placing them under local control.
The first in the city and the other in Bristol were acquired under the community ownership scheme, which is supported by a national body and supporters who purchase "ownership units" in the buildings.
